Chatbot settings

Configure the appearance and functionality of your chatbot. Automate messages, create suggested prompts, configure the command k search bar, and much more.

General:

This section is dedicated to setting up the essential information required for your chatbot widget's operation. You can preview the chatbot widget on this page. Be aware that testing the preview chatbot will consume credits. Any changes made in the Settings will be reflected in the live version of your chatbot, which can be viewed by selecting the 'Preview Chatbot' option.

Appearance:
  • Chatbot Name, Accent Color, and Image: Personalize the chatbot by configuring these visual elements.

  • Input Placeholder Text: This is the default text displayed in the chatbot's input field when it's empty.

Popup Chatbot Widget Controls:

These settings are specifically for adjusting the popup chatbot widget.

  • Width and Max Width: Setting the width (in percentage) and max width (in pixels) controls the widget's width. For instance, if the width is set to 100% and max width to 500px, the widget will be 500px wide, provided there's enough space in the window.

  • Height and Max Height: Adjusting the height (in percentage) and max height (in pixels) determines the widget's height. Setting the height to 80% and the max height to 1200px ensures the widget's height is either 80% of the page height or up to a maximum of 1200px.

  • Position from Bottom and Right: These settings define the popup button's placement on the page.

Example:

When setting the width to 100% and the maxWidth to 500px the width of the chatbot will be 500px as long as the window size has enough space.

Setting the height to 80% and the max height to 1200px will ensure that the height of the popup widget will always be either 80% of the page height or a max height of 1200px.

Position bottom and right is the location of the popup button on the page.

Mobile View Configuration:
  • In the mobile view, the chatbot occupies the full page. Thus, width and height settings are not applicable. However, the position from the bottom and right still influences the location of the popup button.
